Coy H. Browning - President
Born in Covington, Kentucky, Coy was raised in DeLand, Florida. In 1993, he received a Bachelor of Science, Cum Laude, in Criminal Justice from Charleston Southern University. After college, Coy spent five years employed as a Florida State Trooper in Central Florida before attending law school. In 2001, Coy received his Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University, in Birmingham, Alabama. He then pursued an MBA at Fordham University in New York, New York. After leaving New York in 2003, Coy opened a law practice, now titled Browning Law Firm, P.A., in Fort Walton Beach with his brother-in-law, now County Court Judge Jim Ward. Coy is a member of the National College for DUI Defense, the American Association for Justice, The Florida Justice Association, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the most prestigious group of trial lawyers in the United States, whose membership is limited only to those lawyers who have won multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. Browning Law Firm, P.A., focuses its practice in the areas of Personal Injury and Criminal Defense. Coy is married to the former Elizabeth “Liz” Ward, who is a Fort Walton Beach native, and they live in Shalimar.

Jennifer Hanson Copus, Esq. - Vice-President
Ms. Copus is an associate attorney with the law firm of Chesser & Barr, P.A. located in Shalimar and practices primarily in the area of civil litigation. Ms. Copus graduated in 2000 from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law. She received her Bachelor of Arts in 1997 from the University of Alabama. In addition to serving as Secretary for OWBA, Ms. Copus serves as a committee member for both the Florida Bar Grievance Committee "B" and the First Circuit Bench and Bar Professionalism Committee.
